Common issues on starting new home insurance policy include:
Missing Roof Shingles
Active roof leaks
Roofs that have less than three years of remaining useful life
A Fusebox panel or subpanel
Leaking Water Heater
Improper electrical wiring (double taps)
Non functioning AC/Heater
The presence of single strand aluminum wiring
If one of the items above are found during the inspection in most cases the item will need to be corrected before the policy can be started.
